Hi class,
Congratulations on making it past your first Intro Psych exam! We’re still putting things together but will return your grades this week. (It would have been sooner, but the last-minute switch to scantrons complicated things a bit.) I’ll also do a little bit of ‘exam science’ on Thursday, going over various stats and measures related to the exam, as well as debriefing some of the questions.
Tomorrow, though, we’ll be doing something a little different. Joining us will be Professor Lisa Feigenson to give our first Intro Psych guest lecture! Dr. Feigenson is a world-class researcher on human development, and she’ll kick off the second phase of our course by telling us a bit about what babies do and do not know about the world, even before learning anything. In fact, Dr. Feigenson’s work is so influential that one of your readings for tomorrow is actually a paper she wrote. Dr. Feigenson is also a fantastic teacher, and one of the best all-around humans I know.
We’re very lucky indeed to have Dr. Feigenson visit us tomorrow. See you then!
